Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 7, 2026

1. Acceptance

By installing, downloading, using, or accessing any part of the SprintOS software or its associated cloud services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use SprintOS.

SprintOS is developed and maintained by Miguel Angel Jaramillo Muñoz. Questions can be directed to varmiguemunoz@gmail.com .

2. Open Source License (Core Software)

The SprintOS core binary and source code are released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell copies of the software, subject to the following conditions:

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.

The full license text is available in the GitHub repository . These Terms and Conditions apply to cloud services and the website in addition to the MIT License, not instead of it.

3. Cloud Services (Supporter Tier)

Certain features — including private cloud backup, real-time team presence, and unlimited AI agent tokens — are offered as a paid cloud service under the Supporter tier.

  • Payment is a one-time fee. There are no recurring subscriptions unless explicitly stated.
  • Payments are processed via Stripe. SprintOS does not store your card details.
  • Cloud features activate immediately upon confirmed payment.
  • The one-time fee is non-refundable once cloud services have been provisioned, except where required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue cloud features with reasonable prior notice (minimum 30 days).

4. Permitted & Prohibited Use

You may use SprintOS for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, in accordance with the MIT License. You may not:

  • Use SprintOS to violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data, SprintOS infrastructure, or third-party systems.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, or malicious scripts through SprintOS integrations or webhooks.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of SprintOS or any third party.
  • Misrepresent affiliation with SprintOS or use the SprintOS name in a way that implies official endorsement.

5. Data Ownership

All content you create within SprintOS — including projects, tasks, sprints, comments, time logs, and team data — belongs entirely to you. SprintOS does not claim any ownership over your organisational data. You are solely responsible for the content you store and process using the software.

6. GitHub Integration

The GitHub integration feature connects SprintOS to your GitHub repositories via OAuth and webhooks. By enabling this integration, you authorise SprintOS to read pull request and issue events for the purpose of moving tasks between board states. SprintOS will never commit code, merge pull requests, or modify repository content on your behalf.

7. API & Webhooks

SprintOS provides a REST API accessible with keys generated via sprintos api-key create. You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. If a key is compromised, revoke it immediately with sprintos api-key revoke.

Rate limits apply: 60 requests per minute per API key. Excessive automated traffic that degrades service availability for other users may result in temporary access suspension.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

SprintOS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Use of SprintOS is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Miguel Angel Jaramillo Muñoz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of SprintOS, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Supporter tier, if any.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via a pinned announcement in the GitHub Discussions forum. Continued use of SprintOS after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Medellín, Colombia.
